Responsible Alpaca Standard
The Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS), developed by the Textile Exchange, aims to improve the welfare of alpacas and the land they graze on. A voluntary standard that requires all sites, from farms through to the final wholesaler, to be certified. RAS farmers and ranchers are evaluated against animal welfare, land management, and social requirements.
